About Long Crendon Canines
Long Crendon Canines set up in early 2014 running small positive training classes, in the Long Crendon Community Centre next to the library in the High street. We are a very small club and enjoy meeting past members who have gone on to take part in other dog sports and hearing of their successes. If a member wants to look into other dog sports we endeavour to help them find the next step to take part in their chosen sport.
I have owned and trained my dogs for over 35 years. I have two working gundogs, which I do work and I have taken part in a number of dog sports, including fun obedience, rally obedience, agility and showing. Most of my dogs have qualified for Crufts, in breed classes and Game Keepers classes. I am a B list judge on the Flatcoated Retriever Society judges list and a member of the Kennel Club. I am a Kennel Club/UKCAS approved breeder and am a keen supporter of dog health testing.
I have been fortunate enough to own dogs for over 30 years. I have always enjoyed developing a positive relationship with all of them. My experience has covered rescue dogs, being a Hearing Dog socialiser, and most recently have gained experience in working our flatcoated retrievers.
In 2018 I started my own dog training business, and it's proving to be interesting and exciting. Being able to support owners and their dog(s) in achieving their goals, and watching their confidence grow, and achieve a trusting relationship is rewarding.
This year, I will be attending Part Two/Advanced APDT Dog Instructors course having successfully passed the Foundation Part One in 2018.
